Trainee Sales Executive (Nissan) - Hull

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to train as a Sales Executive to sell a combination of new and used vehicles, with a wide range of finance and insurance products whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times.

Accessing internal and external training resources you will receive training to enable you to use various sources to look for new and used car customers on a regular basis and create additional sales opportunities. Through training you will learn and understand the sales process and through this be effective in the use of a sales and follow up processes, keep in regular contact with all new and existing customers to ensure relationships are maintained for potential repeat business.

You will also learn how to participate in sales campaigns and promotions that maximise sales penetration and to take part in on and off-site promotions.

As with all positions within dealerships, a Trainee Sales Executive is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake manufacturer training and eLearning modules; ITC, Motability, Pinnacle, Contact Advantage, C It Now and other relevant training.
  • To create and maintain a positive customer-friendly sales environment.
  • Once trained, be prepared to receive and process new customer enquiries (via telephone, walk-in, and email).
  • To gain a high level of product knowledge along with a detailed understanding of all current dealer and manufacturer marketing programmes.
  • To guide and inform the customer whilst being able to give a competent and enthusiastic presentation of all of the vehicles within the product range.
  • To achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • To ensure company processes are followed to improve Customer Satisfaction and retention and proactively sell Service Plans and follow up finance renewal leads.
  • Record all new and used sales enquiries along with all sales activity in the appropriate sales control/dealer marketing system.
  • Organise and maintain the new vehicle showroom and used car display updating point-of sale material where necessary.
  • Ensure all sales vehicles are photographed and a video presentation is completed to each franchise standard.
  • Organise and maintain a tidy workstation along with all customers interactive areas of the showroom.

  • You will have an enthusiastic interest towards ongoing training and development, ensuring all relevant technical, product, legal and promotional information is obtained and understood.
  • Self-motivated and look to achieve the highest standards set out by the brand.
  • You will be passionate about providing exceptional levels of customer service to ensure our customers return.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Working as part of a team and ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
