Car Park Attendant - Hull

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the team within our busy Dealership located in Hull.

Job Purpose

To support the Dealership with control of customer cars as they arrive, directing them where to park, and where necessary, parking the customers car on their behalf and directing the customer to the Service Reception. In conjunction with the General Sales Manager, you will also coordinate stock vehicles as they arrive on site via transporters, to ensure maximum access, and ensuring customer parking bays are as free as possible.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they enter the car park in the car and show them where to park or, park the car on the customers behalf
• To direct the customer to the Service Reception
• Apply the Trenton COVID-19 procedures which includes sanitising keys, wiping down contact points prior to entering the vehicle, fitting of PPE and covers on contact points of service vehicles
• Moving fully prepared cars to handover areas,
• Assisting technicians and other colleagues in unblocking access to vehicles that need to be worked on
• Keeping the dealership’s car park clean, tidy and fully accessible for customers, parts delivery trucks and vans

Essential Criteria

• Excellent communication skills for when interacting with customers and colleagues
• The ability to plan ahead and problem solve
• Self-motivated as this role can involves multi-tasking a variety of duties often at the same time
• A strong attention to detail to identify faults, damage, defects and/or missing inventory when receiving vehicles into the dealership
• Be willing to work in an outside area, in all types of weather
• A full, clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive and manoeuvre a variety of vehicles

Please note: This role will have a high proportion of work being carried out outdoors in our Dealership’s car park, and the work will need to be carried out whatever the weather, rain or shine. We will provide a corporate outdoor jacket, but we are specifically looking for candidates that like the idea of carrying out a predominantly outdoor role and have similar experience thereof.
