And due to its relatively small size, it’s ideal for handling the rigours of urban motoring. More attractive than the average van, the new Nissan Townstar is set to make waves in a busy marketplace.
The rather handsome Townstar boasts a smartly fashioned front fascia, featuring a contrasting black-grid radiator grille that sweeps left and right to include streamlined, rectangular LED headlights. The van has a raised ride height too, making access as straightforward as possible. Speaking of which, large sliding side doors and wide-opening rear doors ensure flexible access – essential when parking options are limited.
On the inside, the new Nissan Townstar provides a class-competitive 3,900-litre load space, and a maximum 800kg payload. Up front, the van is fitted with plenty of desirable features, including an eight-inch multimedia touchscreen, as well as Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, enabling you to mirror your smartphone with ease. The vehicle is installed with myriad safety technologies too, including Trailer Sway Assist and Side Wind Assist, each designed to deliver optimal stability in testing conditions.
The Nissan Townstar is available in petrol or electric-powered form. Fuel-driven models come with a 1.3-litre 128bhp unit, which is fully compliant with EURO 6d regulations.Producing 240Nm of torque, it delivers a fine balance of efficiency and power. All-electric models, meanwhile, are fitted with a 44kWh battery that delivers 245Nm of torque and an impressive 177-mile range. And regardless of the version you choose, the Townstar is able to tow up to 1,500kg.
